Brackenridge

On March 18, JJL is admitted to Brackenridge Hospital after Cecil Cabaness and Willard Connolly arrange the admission with Dr. Walter C. Goddard. He is released on March 22. Cabaness drives him back to the Austin Hotel.

Remarriage

About noon today John Jackson Ledbetter was married to Neva Clifton Moore in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico. Neva and I to Reynosa for dnr this eve. (April 1)

Loss

On December 30, Leonora’s mother, Mrs. L. W. Lackey, dies. JJL spends the entire day in his hotel office working on a land title matter; Jack Wallace works on the same case through the morning before leaving on an emergency call, returning to report his grandmother’s death at 2:45 p.m.
