Morris Headstone, Oakwood Cemetery

The headstone of James Walter Morris Sr. and Ethel Arrine Thompson at Oakwood Cemetery in Huntsville, Walker County, Texas. James Walter Morris (1867–1930) was a barber in Huntsville and the father of six children, including Robert Edward Morris, William Otho Morris, and Margaret Alline Morris. Ethel Arrine Thompson (1877–1950) was the daughter of Thomas Jefferson Thompson.

Oakwood Cemetery, established in 1848, is one of the oldest cemeteries in Walker County and the resting place of several members of the Morris and Thompson families.
