Bille Vaughn Bailey

Bille Vaughn Bailey married Jack Wallace Ledbetter on November 25, 1979, in Austin, Texas. Jack had previously been married to Iris Geraldine Amick, with whom he had four children: John Jackson Ledbetter II, Robert Gordon, Brenda Jean, and Glenn Andrew.¹

Jack was a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy (Class of 1951), appointed by Congressman Lyndon B. Johnson. After his naval career and a posting in Norfolk, Virginia, he practiced law in Austin. He was the elder son of Col. John Jackson Ledbetter Jr. and Loraine Leonora Lackey.¹
