Ledbetter–McDuffie Wedding Announcement

Newspaper announcement of the marriage of William Burl Ledbetter and Barbara Jean McDuffie on August 27, 1955, in Austin, Texas. This marriage united two deep Texas family lines: the Ledbetter heritage of Missouri, Arkansas, and West Texas with the Morris-Thompson-McAdams heritage of East Texas and the Carolinas.

Barbara Jean was the daughter of Margaret Alline Morris Craig and E. S. McDuffie. William was the son of Col. John Jackson Ledbetter Jr. and Loraine Leonora Lackey. They would have four children: Bill Jr., Craig, Kathleen, and Paul.
